The Bible teaches that God is sovereign. He has a plan for history and his plan will come to pass. Yet the Bible also seems to affirm that human beings have the power to follow their own wills. These ideas seem to create tension. How can both be true? Here, Lenny reviews Calvinism and Arminianism, which are the two primary ways Protestants have tried to reconcile God's sovereignty and man's freedom. He also discusses the idea of Middle Knowledge and why it may help solve the issue.
